WORLD FORUM ON ENTERPRISE AND THE ENVIRONMENT
University of Oxford’s flagship event on enterprise and the environment will convene 180 exceptional leaders from policy, business, civil society, and academia. Designed to foster meaningful connections, share knowledge, inspire debate, and cultivate a collaborative global community, the programme empowers participants to drive a just and sustainable transition.
Our 2026 World Forum will confront the growing urgency of a world in flux - one in which climate science drives transformative change while simultaneously being constrained, challenged, and weaponised by that very uncertainty. Through a critical examination of international trade mechanisms, the ways in which artificial intelligence is reshaping the tools of climate action, and rapidly evolving geopolitical alliances, we ask: how do climate leaders navigate a future that is arriving faster than our institutions can adapt?
Through high-level discussion, deep academic insight, and spirited debate, we’ll explore:
Global trade tumult: How climate policy is reshaping the global trade order - and how trade instability, in turn, threatens the pace and equity of climate action
Artificial Intelligence: the potential of AI to either advance or impede a just transition.
Climate Cooperation 2.0: The growing power of alliances and ‘coalitions of the willing’ in accelerating climate action.
Challenge assumptions through our signature Oxford-style debate: Can we achieve greater progress without the United States at the table?
